Filling out an online shipping form and wanting to find out the zip code / postal code of Qatar? You are not alone.
Most people in Qatar also do not know how to fill in zip codes / postcodes simply because there are no zip codes assigned for each zone in Qatar.
What is a Zip Code?
The term ZIP is an acronym for Zone Improvement Plan; it was chosen to suggest that the mail travels more efficiently and quickly when senders use the code in the postal address.
A ZIP Code is a postal code used by the United States Postal Service (USPS). Introduced in 1963, the basic format consisted of five digits. In 1983, an extended ZIP+4 code was introduced; it included the five digits of the ZIP Code, followed by a hyphen and four digits that designated a more specific location.
What is a Postal Code?
A postal code is a series of letters or digits, sometimes also including other punctuation marks or spaces, which together serve as postal address for sorting and collecting mail.
How to fill in the online shipping form?
Many people may be searching for a zip code or postal code for Qatar when shopping online, as many shopping websites require customers to enter a postal code or zip code as part of the checkout process. However, as mentioned earlier, Qatar does not have a traditional postal code or zip code system like many other countries.
This can create confusion for those shopping online, as they may be required to enter a postal code or zip code but are unable to do so. To address this issue, some online shopping websites may accept the P.O. Box number assigned to an individual or business as a substitute for a postal code or zip code.
Qatar does not have any Zip code / Postal code. For overseas delivery, just enter the P.O. Box number.
You can also write 0000 if you do not have a P.O. Box number.
Why Qatar does not have Zip Codes?
While the lack of a postal code system may seem unusual to those from other countries, it is a system that has proven effective for Qatar. The use of P.O. Boxes and direct courier deliveries allows for efficient and reliable mail delivery, and is well-supported by the country’s modern infrastructure.
In conclusion, it is important to keep in mind that Qatar does not have a postal code or zip code system like many other countries. Instead, they rely on P.O. Boxes and direct courier deliveries to ensure effective and efficient mail delivery.

Dear Ahamed,
As mentioned in the article, there is no zip codes system in Qatar. So there is no code for Madinat Khalifa Zone. If you want an item to be delivered in this area, either you can write full address at courier company will make express delivery by hand. Or courier company will keep the parcel with them and send you timings and locations for pickup. Hope you understood.
