The 2022 FIFA World Cup is the 22nd edition of the quadrennial international men’s football championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It kicks off in Qatar from 20 November 2022. This is the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and the first in a Muslim-majority country. The final tournament involves 32 national teams, including that of the host nation, Qatar.
The tournament is being held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. As per usual, the tournament will open with a grand opening ceremony on 20 November at the Al Bait Stadium. The final will be held at Lusail stadium on 18 December
How to watch FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at home?
As with previous World Cups, there are several official ways to follow the action, with games shown on a variety of TV channels and via digital streaming platforms. These platforms offer extensive live coverage and highlights packages across their various channels and digital platforms.
If you are in Qatar and have Ooredoo TV, then you can tune into channel 114, 115, 404, 405 for Arabic and 116, 117, 406 and 407 for English channels broadcasting live matches including the opening ceremony of the tournament.
If you’re not in a country where games will be televised live, or if you want to watch on a different device such as a laptop or tablet, then you can do so by using one of the many digital streaming services that will also be broadcasting live coverage.
